You can set a shortcut key to change the font in Word by following these steps:
- Open Microsoft Word.
- Click on the “File” tab in the top left corner.
- Select “Options” from the menu.
- Click on “Customize Ribbon” in the left-hand panel.
- Click on “Customize” next to “Keyboard shortcuts” at the bottom of the window.
- In the “Categories” box, select “Fonts”.
- In the “Commands” box, select the font you want to assign a shortcut to, such as “Bold”, “Italic”, or “Underline”.
- Click in the “Press new shortcut key” field and press the key combination you want to use as your shortcut. For example, you could use “Ctrl+Shift+B” for bold.
- If the key combination is already in use, it will be displayed in the “Current keys” box. You can choose a different combination or remove the existing one by clicking “Remove”.
- Click “Assign” to assign the shortcut key to the selected font command.
- Repeat the process for any other font commands you want to assign a shortcut key to.
- Click “OK” to close the “Word Options” window and save your changes.
Once you’ve set your shortcut keys, you can use them to quickly change the font formatting in your Word documents.
